Respectfully, they have it backwards.

Giolito going from the worst pitcher in baseball to one of the best, an All Star and no hitter...those were accomplishments that helped make 2020-21 possible.

He was the first acquired prospect who started to live up to his billing as Moncada and then Kopech had their struggles.

And he took the ball and went out there every day, whether he had his best stuff or was going through games like the Patriot's Day struggle in Boston.  Gave his best effort, sweated through his uniform and hat and represented the team well both on and off the field like a true professional.
