February 13, 20251 yr Author When asked, hypothetically, if he would ever move into a front office (no, he's not a manager of a staff), if a team like the White Sox came calling, would he be tempted by the challenge? (Great opportunity to propose and implement new ideas.) Gave an emphatic "no" to a question of whether candidates were crazy to take a job in the organization. He said there were worse situations (Wilpon Mets, Angelos family, The Angels). He doesn't know exactly how involved Reinsdorf is right now, but.... KL: At least right now, I don't get the sense that Reinsdorf is doing anything that is going to actively prevent them from getting better. Whereas I think that's happening with the Angels right now. JM: Until it comes time to sign a hundred million dollar player, and then... KL: Yes. They've got a minute until they actually get back there, and we'll see who's actually running the club at that point.
