Angel's story

Wow, this should affect the Colon signing!

It seems they are still in the running for Colon, but me thinks Mr Colon is in for a reality check in terms of the #s he is going to get in the FA market

Colon will land with the Os, Padres or the Yankees

If the Bo Sox get Schilling, look for SteinBrenner to throw a boat load at both Petite and Colon

Pedro, Schilling, Lowe .... You can bet your ass Steinbrenner is blowing his stack. A year ago, if you remember, we were all b****ing because the Yankees had 7 or 8 quality starting pitchers. Now they are down to one, Mussina.

Clemens retired. Wells is a big question mark health wise and a free agent. Pettitte is a free agent. Contreras hasn't lived up to the hype yet. Weaver just sucked. Hitchcock was traded. Leiber is aslo a health question mark.

Am I forgetting anyone?

This could effect the Sox and their pitching situation. I think this is in the area of what Ponson is going to get. Now that Good King George is most likely going to throw the bank at Colon the Sox hopefully will turn their attention to a more realistic signing of Ponson
