    Thankfully, the Pirates will have the Skenes-Griffin combo for two-and-a-half seasons after this current one. With Skenes’ current market value calling for a 13-year, $507 million deal, the Pirates will most likely deal him at the trade deadline in 2029.

    Pirates owner Bob Nutting is worth a LOT of money though, so if he really wanted to, he could keep Skenes. Hopefully, he finds a way to do it, and makes Pittsburgh back into the legendary franchise it used to be.
