Flash Tizzle
www.Rotoworld.com According to the Seattle Times, the Mariners and Scott Spiezio are close to finalizing a three-year, $9 million contract. - There goes the idea of a second baseman experiment. If he signs it also erases any chance of us unloading Konerko in a trade. No matter, Maggs and Valentine are still on the table. The Cardinals made a contract offer to free-agent right-hander Jeff Suppan yesterday. -I know many of you don't like this guy but he could of been an option.....seeing that we're in need of two starting pitchers (With limited choices available) The Tigers have made an offer to free-agent shortstop Rich Aurilia, but a deal doesn't appear imminent. -If Valentine is shipped out I would love to have him on our the Sox. Whether or not he signs with the Tigers Aurilia might not be available by the time KW makes some moves. Next in line for Aurilia would be the Dodgers and Seattle......both teams were attempting to trade with. The Mariners are talking to the Dodgers and perhaps the White Sox about a Freddy Garcia deal. The Dodgers might trade Paul Lo Duca to Seattle for Garcia. Another possibility is that it could be a three-team deal involving Magglio Ordonez, who would go to the Dodgers
