DonkeyKongerko
I have to believe that the reason Nomar or alot of other baseball players don't wanna come to the White Sox is the status of this team as second fiddle in Chicago. I know no one wants to work for JR either, but I think Nomar is more of a franchise guy than Magglio. I think having a Nomar roaming around at shortstop will put FANS IN THE SEATS next year and force the national media (see Peter Gammons Nomar Whore) to pay more attention to the Chicago White Sox. That and winning a championship would be nice, wouldn't it? I guess I'm getting ahead of myself here, just trying to stress that Nomar is Sammy w/out the cork, Frank without the whining, and Magglio with a better grasp of the English language (and Mia Hamm don't hurt either). Queen Prawn
That's been my question - are players not wanting the play for the Sox because of their feelings about management, the fans, the location, a combination of some or all of these things? sox-r-us
I bet you if this deal goes through, Maggs will get his much deserved publicity now since he will play for Boston, cauing Peter Gammons to kiss his ass I swear it is amazing how much more he will be recognized around the league after this deal And the sad thing is that Chicago is a much bigger town than Boston SELL JERRY SELL
