January 20, 200323 yr if minn loses their rp, Eddie Guardado, how does that affect them, esp in a race with the sox for the division title?
January 20, 200323 yr If they for some unknown reason lost Guardado, then they do have Romero, Santana, or possibly Hawkins in the bullpen to take over as closer....but why in the hell would they lose Guardado? I don't understand that.

January 21, 200323 yr Author Yes how would guardado be lost? by getting Willie Harris' taxi cab driver would be one way... according to espn, he has 1 more yr left on his contract. the talks for a contract extension is not going too well. if minn decides to move him or something then they might not have him. so i just assume that some here knew of the situation and i was wrong.
January 21, 200323 yr In that case, they have a number of pitchers that could take over as closer. But their bullpen would be weakened with the loss of Guardado...maybe not Guardado himself, but they'd lose a good reliever or setup man. Unless they used Tony Fiore...
