Juan Acevedo

Featured Replies

KW signed Rick White to something like a cool million right? At that time he said the Sox really wanted the Tiger's Juan Acevedo, but Juan wanted to much money. Now I see the Yankees signed him for $150000 plus incentives that might go to $900000? What happened? Did Juan wait to long and want to much?

That is probably a possibility, it seems that a lot of players and agents had a hard time accepting that the market is down this year.

He may of finally realized he didn't have any other suitors. KW couldn't just sit and wait on him, so he probably had to look elsewhere. I like the idea of White though. Veterans are really great additions to a bullpen, especially ones that are solid pitchers, although he did have some struggles early last season.

By the way, Welcome Aboard!!!!

White can make, at the most on his deal, I believe just above $2. mill or so....$750,000 this year and about $1.4 mill next year if we exercise the team option(is what I think we have anyways).

I like White over Acevedo anyways....atleast White has playoff experience.

I agree with you. White is a solid pitcher.
