January 31, 200323 yr The Phillies gave Placido Polanco $2,875,000 today....this is a guy that hits .290 with 10 homers and 50 RBI a year....I know he's a middle infielder and a decent one, but about $3 mill for this guy? Come on....and we think CLee is overpriced...atleast CLee does something productive.

Jose Cruz got less than Polanco did....I think everyone in the world, aside from Polanco's relatives, would agree that Cruz is better than Polanco, and maybe Polanco's relatives would agree that Cruz is better. According to those numbers....Joe Crede should be making about $3 million already....uhhhhh, I don't think so.
