witesoxfan Posted January 31, 2003 Share Posted January 31, 2003 The Phillies gave Placido Polanco $2,875,000 today....this is a guy that hits .290 with 10 homers and 50 RBI a year....I know he's a middle infielder and a decent one, but about $3 mill for this guy? Jose Cruz got less than Polanco did....I think everyone in the world, aside from Polanco's relatives, would agree that Cruz is better than Polanco, and maybe Polanco's relatives would agree that Cruz is better.
