I'm satisfied that BeGood's back

Marte, bless his heart, blew 7 slaves in the 1st half

Yeah hes a slow starter. :D

Wow, who would have thought...Marte....I would have never guessed

3-3 versus two of the better AL teams is good enough for me..

Uh Brando, ya might want to hit the spellchecker for a sec.

Sorri for mai Inglish - it's no good, you see...

And Washburn in his 2 starts has an era of 8.84, down from over 10 after his first start.

No way man....really? Shows what I know -- that Washburn iz a, hud'yasai, a bum?

.500+ on the road

.667+ at home.

That's the formula for success. 41 road wins, 55 home wins. That should be more than enough.

Holy crap, that's 96-66. Where did we go from "sky is falling" offseason to 96 wins dominance? Damn, and I thought my 92-win prediction was out there....Wow.

I also think this formula for success has to include the HEALTH factor. It seems in the Sports Bar banter that Sox fans all of the sudden think Twins and Royals are the only ones who are liable to accrue a lot of DL time through-out the season.

And to think 2001 was just 3 years ago..... :headshake

I've never been "the sky is falling" type of guy. :D

Ok, I'll settle for last years 51 home wins (iirc) and .500 on the road. That's 92.

we did good with the yanks and did bad with that 1 game with the royals. It would be 4-2.

Yup, totally satisfied.

If the Sox can maintain a .500 record on the road throughout the year [they were 11 games under .500 last year], the Sox should win the division. 11 more wins on the road, and the same home record, would give the Sox a 97-65 record.

I would be happy with a 4-2 record

It seems like six games in - good signs from the offense, slightly better defense, and solid starting pitching appearances from four guys... its good to see. The first 10 or 15 games in the books, I'm not looking at records - unless a team is 15-0 or vice versa... If we're around .500 a couple weeks in but looking strong, I'm comfortable.

Marte, bless his heart, blew 7 slaves in the 1st half last year alone.

:o :lolhitting :banghead

Danny Wright looked horrible.  Bouncing balls 5 ft in front of the plate & throwing wild pitches beyond Olivo's range.  Lack of control is an understatement.

Should it surprise you?? That's all we saw almost all of last year. The day that I have confidence in that guy's control is the day Konerko beats out Juan Pierre in a hundred yard sprint.

As they said in the old McDonalds commercials...

"Hey, it could happen."
