April 30, 200421 yr Author Great article. I've always liked Morse and it would be great if he can keep this up and really stand up this year. My concerns with Morse...... 1. His swing is long 2. He doesn't take many pitches nor walk much 3. He swings at too many bad pitches and gets himself out 4. Only 1 2B to go with 5 HR's seems weird to me Aside from those things, he is hitting very well right now. But I suspect if he doesn't work on the above, he'll be back down around his career .250 before July. The potential is there, but those are my concerns.
