A world series title would do more for a First Ballot Hall of Fame induction, than an MVP award would.  JMHO.

I don't know if he'd need the World Series ring per se, but atleast a World Series appearance with him doing a lot to contribute to getting there and doing as much as he possibly could to help us win it(ala Bonds in 2002).

 

I do agree with what you are essentially saying though.
