May 7, 200421 yr Author MLB probably did listen to ESPN... I just found it funny that ESPN thinks that MLB actully did listen to them. Since when does MLB listen to its fans?
May 7, 200421 yr mlb listening solely to this poll or whatever it was on espn and making this decision is doubtful. i imagine though it is one of the sources mlb used to make their decision as well as what papers, sports radio, etc. had to say....

May 7, 200421 yr It still disturbs me how quickly MLB signed on for that deal and made plans to go ahead with it without playing it on the fans first. Another big deal breaker was Steinbrenner saying he absolutely refused to put the advertisements on his bases.
