Valentin called up!

Beastly, a 5 million backup for a team that is in last place isn't going to happen.  Quit being delusional.

Have you noticed that this is only May?

He could be a bare necesity to the team who needs a spark in the ass. I'm not being delusional.

I think I'll take 110 atbats of March-April over 25 ab of rehab....

If Valentin is sitting (which he should be), it SHOULDN'T be because of LHP thing -- as I pointed out Willie Harris is BEYOND brutal against them.  Valentin should sit but against ALL pitchers because his timing is clearly out of whack.

I'll agree with you on this:

1) Harris is horrid against lefty's too...

2) Val should sit because he's off right now...

My question is...Why are we bringing him back when it's fairly obvious he isn't doing anything at this point? Let him play more at AAA and get in a groove instead of just throwing him back in there after he hit .050 at AAA...

You are being delusional if you think Seattle will want him...

1) They have no shot in that division, they may finish LAST...They definitely won't finish ahead of Oakland or Anaheim...

2) They are going to be big time SELLERS, not buyers, NO TEAM is going to take Jose unless we take on a horrible contract or pay most of or all of his remaining salary....

Works for me if we pay his salary. I don't want to see him play just like I hate seeing Willie Harris play.

Oh and before I forget......Sox are 8-3 when Valentin starts at SS -- as opposed to barely mustering 9-7 against the likes of TB/Cle at HOME. Needless to say, the7 were outscored in those games, so that's a very "iffy" 9-7.

"Lamer ass"? Lose the 'tude, or I'll fact-check your ass into oblivion, jack. :)

It may work for you, but if it doesn't work for the front office, well then, it doesn't work there Mr. Beast.

Gonzo is out on the northside.... maybe the flubs are interested? give us a little bullpen help, maybe Koch clone Farnsworth would be offered. all hypothetical of course.

I was speaking of Jose there son...

And the "tude" you speak of, well, I think this is the first mention of it from anyone on this board...Perhaps you should look into the mirror.

He is 34 and he makes 5 Mill. You leave him down, you risk pissing him off, especially considering Willie is not hitting, either. And then you can kiss any hope of dealing his salary for a prospect good-bye.

Put yourself in Ozzie's shoes. Valentin was Sox' best player in ST and after a slow start, was just getting on a roll before going on DL......Ozzie may pay lip service to Willie, but deep down he knows his OWN job is on the line, so he will risk everything just to make sure Valentin, Konerko, Lee and other starters play.

If Sox lose, then, well, they were't good enough and he doesn't get blame as much.

If they win, then Ozzie is a genius who "revived" those vets, and it will also give KW the oppostunity to dump their salaries and actually get something in return.

Or something along those lines.
