Ozzietheairedale
I was astounded to see Jose batting against the lefty reliever in the 8th with 2 on and 1 out. Unfortunately, there was no right handed hitter on the bench except Olivo. With Jose having struck out miserably 3 straight times against Rogers, would you have brought in Olivo to pinch hit in the 8th? I know it's risky to give up your only other catcher, but it's the 8th and Valentin was an automatic out. Obviously it's easy to say now, but I did say it at the time. I would have brought in Olivo to pinch hit because he was the tying run late in the game.
qwerty
I think it was worth a shot i mean if olivo did go down are you telling me no one else has any catching experience whatsoever. I know i have heard them say maggs can if he really had to but at that point he was already out of the game.

At least that way Ozzie could save him the misery of another at bat.
