White Sox claimed RHP Eduardo Villacis off waivers from the Royals and assigned him to Double-A Birmingham.

Villacis, who made a start for the Royals against the Yankees earlier this month, might have a career as a reliever, but he's unlikely to make an impact in the majors this season.
