Karmazin exit could push Stern out door

Howard Stern has been warning of his own demise for years -- but with the departure of Viacom's Mel Karmazin, the shock jock who cried wolf may finally have real reason to worry.

 

 

 

As head of the Infinity radio group, Karmazin was Stern's fiercest protector, most recently helping the radio host weather the stormy climate in Washington. Emboldened by the public outrage surrounding Janet Jackson (news)'s Super Bowl boob flash, the content police have closed in on personalities like Stern in recent months.
