You gotta play the What-If game for Colon. I think if he stayed settled with the Sox, it's possible he would have been in better shape and would have pitched better in general.

 

Plus, he eats up innings for us and our guys aren't dying out there.

With the way the White Sox spend money, would you honestly be happy with paying Colon $12M a year for that kind of performance? I doubt it.

I wouldn't be happy with that performance, but it just puts it in perspective. Colon's won 5 more games that our fifth starter with probably his worst baseball behind him.

And if we had signed Bartolo, we don't have some of the players that are on our team today, such as Konerko, Lee, or Maggs.
