Queen Prawn
Bertuzzi charged. I have mixed feelings about this, but I think the severity of the hit calls for it, if for no other reason that to deter future similar hits.
IlliniKrush
Mixed feelings as well. It's a tough line to draw; but i think this one crossed it. You can't throw the blanket phrase "it happened in the context of the game" over everything.
redandwhite
I hate going over this issue again, but Moore had it coming to him, and instead of ignoring Bertuzzi and the fact that he injured his good freind and teammate he should have just dropped the gloves and fought him. That or not play in the game knowing that this Canucks team was on his ass.

From what I saw of the Moore hit (now maybe it was the angle ESPN showed) but it looked like Moore barely saw him before they hit (he looked like he was looking the opposite way and didn't even know what's his face was near him). Come on, a 6'5 250 pound guy is following you, tugging on your sweater, talking s*** to you.. Moore knew he was behind him.

LOL - I meant when Moore hit the guy not when he took the hit - my mistake.

The Critic
I hate going over this issue again, but Moore had it coming to him, and instead of ignoring Bertuzzi and the fact that he injured his good freind and teammate he should have just dropped the gloves and fought him. That or not play in the game knowing that this Canucks team was on his ass. Moore dropped the gloves and fought earlier in the game, which SHOULD have cleared the slate ( in the retarded "unwritten rules" of hockey goonerism ) - Bertuzzi wasn't satisfied with that, he had to get his OWN measure of revenge. He deserves whatever comes to him - I still don't feel his suspension was severe enough. s*** like Beruzzi's pussy suckerpunch gives hockey an even worse image than it already had.
