Starting a Winning Streak Tonight

With a win tonight, the Sox could very well go on a 7-0 streak going into the all star break.

With Anaheim coming into town, losers of 5 of their last 6 games, and Seattle, having lost their last 5 road games, the sox could start another nice win streak. Something the sox haven't been able to do that often in the 1st half.

With a solid 5 man rotation, with Schoeny due back Wed. the Sox are capable of putting streaks together. The hole in the 5th spot really hurt their momentum.

The Sox could put some daylight between themselves and Minn, with a few nice runs. Here's to them starting one with a win tonight!

agreed. I think getting back to the Cell is going to be huge. We play SO much better there. It will be nice to get done with this Interleague bulls*** as well. As far as I'm concerned with Interleague being over and Maggs coming back soon this team is going to be at FULL STRENGTH for the rest of the year.

It's obvious the sox have struggled on the road during interleague games this year. The Sox are down Maggs and either Frank or PK. Getting back to some normalcy playing AL teams certainly should help the Sox stay consistent.

There is no way I am thinking about a sweep of the Angeles. Like I have have said before, the Sox just need to win series. But a W tonight is VERY important, just being able to split with the Cubs, and to come in on a good note going back to the Cell.

I'm just saying Anaheim is coming into town on a down note, having lost 5 of their last 6 games. They aren't playing like they were the last time we faced them.

I'd take 2 of 3 sure. But the key to the 2nd half for the Sox is stringing together some nice win streaks [5+ games]. But why wait for the 2nd half!?

A win tonight is important. Mostly because the Sox have the pitching edge with MB over Rusch, and to keep in 1st place.

The Sox just need to stay within a couple games of first, then from there, Minnesota's schedule becomes a lot harder.  A win today couple with a win from Randy Johnson would be a nice start...  :headbang

Good point about Minn's schedule. I haven't looked at who exactly they play but I know the haven't faced the NYY yet. They also need a SP and some offense. It's hard to get on a nice winning streak when they're having trouble scoring runs, having starters who can't keep them in games, and playing tough teams [Doesn't this sound like the SOx pre-Garcia?]
