March 12, 200323 yr I'm all for this, since Colon will probably REALLY get up for pitching against his old club. Buehrle appears as if he's as good as he's ever been, and will only get better as the season progresses. I think Buehrle will be a great leader for this pitching staff, and that his entire pitching staff will bear great fruit, because they won't have to worry about the Nardi factor! It seemed as if the pitching staff improved last year once Nardi left, which convinces me that Nardi was, in fact, the problem here. It'll be interesting to see how Buehrle and the rest of the pitching staff panns out in their first full year without Nardi heading them.
March 12, 200323 yr Good call JM. I said all along that Buehrle is our Number One and should start the Season Opener. Buehrle..... followed by Colon and then Garland works out better anyway..... at least IMHO
March 12, 200323 yr It seems every day I read a new report saying that Danny Wright is still 5 days away from pitching. It's beginning to concern me.
