March 15, 200323 yr Wunsch has his role. He needs to be used in that role. He's not as effective against righties. Right! But, I thought it might've been nice for him to work a little on pitching to righties so he can in a pinch be used against them! They would do that with people like Marte. Wunsch is a lefty submariner; he picks off lefties and is not meant to stay in very long and rack up outs. He goes in for 1/3 or 2/3 innings, faces a couple of lefties and leaves. Wunsch is not designed very well to face those dangerous righties.
March 15, 200323 yr you guys are all hitting o nthe problem with wunch...if we are going with a 12 man staff then fine..there is room for a loogy..but a loogy becomes more of a liability then an asset o nan 11 man staff...the rest of your pen gets overworked..we need a "loogy plus"
March 15, 200323 yr If White or Glover can be as effective against righties as Wunsch is against lefties, the bullpen should be fine.... even with an 11 man pitcheing staff.
