Has Honel Pitched Yet

Featured Replies

I've kind of been out of the mix, but was wondering if he's made any appearances yet in Bristol?

wow you aren't going to like the answer. According to the stats he pitched one third of an inning and gave up 4 ER. He's sporting an era of 108.

Ouch, I wonder what his velocity was like. I was thinking they wanted him in Bristol just so he could get a little confidence or something and start working hi sarm back into shape.

From those stats in a rookie ball league, I would have to assume he was hitting 85mph still. I can't imagine him letting those runs in with a 90mph fastball and a great curve. Now that they have let his arm rest and it didn't work, I think they should try something different like building his arm strength up. I don't really consider Honel a prospect anymore, but maybe that will change.

He faced 5 hitters, walked 3, gave up one hit and got one out. No idea how hard he threw.
