September 30, 200421 yr And am starting to like the idea of the Sox getting Austin Kearns. I have no idea what his contract situation is like but he is proving to be a Cub killer and had decent #'s across the board a few years back when he got consistent AB's :fthecubs
September 30, 200421 yr that would be good, but I think the Reds LOVE Kearns because they were even talking about moving him to 3b since they have a backlog in the OF... plus he is cheap and will be cheap for a few more years
September 30, 200421 yr Author Liking the idea even more when I notice that his salary this year is a paltry 400K and he is in no position to ask for more after this year
September 30, 200421 yr He's also 24 and was one of Cincinatti's shining stars coming through the minor leagues. He's not going anywhere, unless the Reds are either overwhelmed in a deal, or someone agrees to take on Griffey's contract in full(and while that hasn't been stated anywhere, it is just a hunch that I have).
September 30, 200421 yr Author I knew that they were high on him but for some reason I thought he fell out of favor (hence the declining number of AB's over the past 3 years). Eitherway -- I'm lovin the fact that he lit up Prior on a day where Jesus of the north side is virtually untouchable

Eitherway -- I'm lovin the fact that he lit up Prior on a day where Jesus of the north side is virtually untouchable his AB's have decreased I believe because of injuries... and not nagging ones where he just refuses to play, I think they've been legit injuries where he's hurt himself hustling on plays
September 30, 200421 yr Author I know that was the case last year but was unaware that he hurt himself this year

October 1, 200421 yr that would be good, but I think the Reds LOVE Kearns because they were even talking about moving him to 3b since they have a backlog in the OF... plus he is cheap and will be cheap for a few more years I thought they were thinking aobut moving Dunn to 3rd?
