Audience-Based Newspapers within a Community

Featured Replies

I'm doing an assignment for school where I need to find an audience-based publication within a community. none come to my mind.

I was wondering, assuming most of you guys are within the Chicago area and in different neighborhoods and such, if you know of any?

I'm not talking about any old community newspaper, but one that targets a specific audience within a community.

thanks

Something like the Reader? Or is that not targeted?

At the U of I, we have the Orange and Blue Observer which is a magazine targeted at the people who agree with Republican party line all the way.

the Chicago Reader is more a Chicago paper instead of a community, like Bridgeport.

hmm, is that just distributed around the college and surrounding area?

if so, that's perfect.

Yeah -- it's a student run campus publication that they print and distribute around campus and local businesses that approve free magazines etc.

thanks Apu, do know of where I can find their articles online?

I did a quick search but the link that exists for it was from 2002.

Shot you a PM with the contact info of people to get in touch with (according to their magazine)
