March 26, 200322 yr I guess there's no radio for today's game, but I'm following the score at CBSsportsline, and it's the top of the 5th and the Sox lead it 5-1. They got 3 in the 1st, and I think 1 in the 3rd and 1 in the 4th. I'm pretty sure it's Josh Stewart pitching.
March 26, 200322 yr Heading into the 6th, now 9-1 Sox. C-Lee hit his third dinger of the spring. - Pete
March 26, 200322 yr Dang, offense rolling and it sounds like Stewart is pitching good once again. did he make the team has the 5th starter???
March 26, 200322 yr Author Dang, offense rolling and it sounds like Stewart is pitching good once again. did he make the team has the 5th starter??? All reports are that Danny is starting April 6 against Detroit. So unless Danny has a setback, it appears Stewart will start the season in AAA.
March 26, 200322 yr i think he would fit in #4 spot real nice #1lefty finess #2righty power #3righty (dont know what to claisfy garland has) #4lefy finess #5righty (wright???? power)
March 26, 200322 yr He also has some good breaking stuff. Id qualify him as finess, you can choose what you think. I just think hes more of a smarts pitcher like Buehrle rather than a blow you away guy like Koch of Colon...

Not sure why.
March 26, 200322 yr Author idk he is just so old he is like a grandpa for the pitching staff Don't underestimate the value of a veteran on a young staff. In 2000 we had Cal Eldred, and he played fairly well (understatement). As long as Esteban has an ERA of 4.0 or lower, he'll be in the rotation IMO.
March 26, 200322 yr idk he is just so old he is like a grandpa for the pitching staff He's pitched incredibly well....that's why he's going to get a starting spot. If we can get 10-15 wins out of Loaiza....assuming he is the #4 all year....that would be incredible. Getting that many wins out of your #4 pitcher is very good.
March 26, 200322 yr Is it just me or has the Sox done an awful lot of scoring in the 1st inning throught ST?
March 26, 200322 yr Author Is it just me or has the Sox done an awful lot of scoring in the 1st inning throught ST? And Frank is hitting over .400. Hmmm..Frank produces, and the offense scores a lot in the 1st inning....I wonder if there's a correlation?
March 27, 200322 yr Author Here's the box score for today's 10-1 win over Colorado http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/boxscore?gam...ameId=230326104 Frank continues his torrid hitting (.432 now), Lee with a huge game, Crede with 4 hits, Paulie adds 3 hits, D'Angelo and Rowand chip in 2. Also nice pitching by Stewart.
