Why is Quinn still on this team??

I'm not going to blame the Bears for having him as their backup like everyone else has done. The fact is the guy has been in the league for like 8 years....you are not in the league that long if you are as bad as he has shown. He has to look good in practice. He's just a good practice QB and a bad game QB. I don't blame the bears for not seeing that at the beginning of the year. Who the hell can predict that this guy who looked good is gonna be so bad when he is called upon. Nobody knew...Marriotti, Telander and all the other sports guys that have blamed Lovie and Angelo for having Quinn as the backup to start the year are up to their collective eyes in hindsight s***. If he came in and played great they would be praising them for not wasting a spot on a QB that is going to cause a controversy and rattle Rex. Unfortunately Rex got hurt and the guy that looked like a capable backup turned out not to be. s*** happens.

HOWEVER, there are no more illusions....we now know Quinn is not a gameday qb. Hell...he even knows he is not a game day QB. Some got it and some don't. It's time to get rid of him and give the roster spot to someone else. Anything less would be as big a f*** up as not playing Hutch the last few weeks just cause the team was winning despite Krenzel. The bears were winning cause of their defense plain and simple....Making a change at qb wouldn't have affected that defensive chemistry...if anything it would have helped it cause we might of sustained some drives with a new QB.

I still wouldn't completely get my hopes up yet on Hutchison. Don't forget he stunk it up in NFL Europe before the season, and the Bears were the only team willing to take a chance on him. He needs constant protection ala Kurt Warner and I'm not sure the Bears will be able to give that to him. The Vikings D isn't exactly all that great either.
