How bout that Tsunami huh

Featured Replies

Not sure if anyone posted this already. Just one more reason to stay away of the water. I'm sorry people lost their lives, but I have always been fascinated by the power of a tsunami.

Yeah - it is stuck at the top. I, too, am fascinated by tsunamis. But being terrified of water (I can't swim - just added another person yesterday to the list of people that have promised to teach me lol), I am glad that I am not that close to a big body of H2O. (I know the lake is close, but it ain't that close lol.)

I read somewhere that the wave was "20 feet tall", but that has to be a misprint, right? I mean, 20 feet isn't all that high in all reality, and I would swear Greg Brady surfed a wave that high while in Hawaii. Granted, the whole deal about it traveling at 400 MPH is pretty dang scary, but even still, once it hit shore I would think it would have died out before destroying as much as it did. Maybe I just don't understand it all that well, but 20' isn't real high.

***ah, never mind, just read the sticky above! excuse me all, been out of town and sick for a while...a little slow on the uptake here***
