Does anyone think this KC team is the real deal? I thought they were a fluke after our series but now theyre beating up on other teams too. Im really not sure. We played pretty bad in our series so Im not surprised they won. What do you guys think?

they will suck this year. remember the indians last year 13-0 last year until we sweept them, then where did they go.

Just like in 2000. They started out red hot out of spring training. Took about a month for them to fall back down to fourth place.

 

Not only that but they haven't played a road game yet.

 

Once the league sees Affledt and Ascencio the second time they'll get crushed.

11-1. Sweeping Cleveland and flushing their season (and probably this season too since they started rebuilding) down the toilet was the high point of last year. I hope when we meet up with KC again we show em whos boss. I really dont think theyre as good as they look. Brett freakin Maynes hitting .545. That wont continue. Harvey and the rest will come down to earth. The only really good players they have are Sweeney, Ibanez, Randa (I hate that guy) and Runelvys Hernandez (who threw a two hit shutout thru seven today). But thats not enough to compete. Theyll be gone soon and it will be just us and the Twins...

5 games. it's that simple....they aren't anything special, or the "real deal" as you say. but they'll finish 3rd in the central.

It's all beginners luck. We played poorly and they capitalized on that. Give them a couple months and they'll be fighting the Indians for 3rd.

the Royals have talented pitchers, I thought that before the season started, but in no way did I think they would come around this early and be able to make up for their very weak offense.

With the exception of Hernandez I agree. Affeldt and Ascencio are both jokes and I dont even know who their 4-5 are. But if theyre behind those two jokers they mustnt be very good...

I think they're going to give teams a hard time. They have some good hitters, they seem to play OK defense, and their pitching is young but decent. I was impressed with MacDougal as a closer - if they can get to him with the lead, I think he'll wrap up most of his save opportunities.

 

I think it's good that there's a third competitive team in the Central - it'll give the Sox some tough games, which is ALWAYS good for the team's concentration and focus. Trust me, the Sox will come out blasting in the next KC series. I think they may have taken them for granted last time, but that won't happen twice.

There's pitchers have no experience, there's absolutely no way in hell they can win with nothing but rookies(or close to it) in the rotaion.
