February 3, 200521 yr I am not a smoker but that seems a bit excessive. If someone does something legal in their personal life, then so be it. Now they should have to pay higher insurance premiums. My only beef with smokers that when a smoker I work with feels the need for a cigarette and does the following: Goes to find someone to smoke with - 5 mins Gets coat - 2 mins Waits for, then takes the elevator to the ground floor - 5 mins Walks outside - 2 mins Smokes - 5 mins Walks inside - 2 mins Waits for, then takes the elevator back to their floor - 5 mins Puts coat away - 2 mins That's 28 mins for one smoking break. And many take three a day. Plus they also make sure they take their full lunch.
