February 7, 200521 yr Now I'm all about cutting fat from the federal budget, but the increase in cost to veterans for prescription drugs and instituting this new "usage fee" for many vets is a bit much for me. The Prescription Co-Pay in the President's new budget more than doubles from 7 to 15 dollars. Also many vets will be required to pay a 250 dollar usage fee under the adminstration's new plan. The costs may not be high yet for veterans, but the principle is the point here. Asking our men and women in the armed forces to sacrifice themselves on the battlefield, and then asking them to sacrifice again, when at home and receiving medical attention is just plain wrong.
