Jose Valentin is second in the majors with a slugging percentage of over .900 ;) Not sure of the relevance at this point.

Wow, I knew he had power but a a slugging percentage of over .900! Wow! Keep it up! :headbang

it means there is great value hitting ahead of thomas - ordonez and konerko for a dead red fastball hitter ;)

And it could and probably should be higher than that even...the baseball gods for some reason do not like Jose early in the game. They don't let his bullets fall in there.

Late in the game...it seems like every time he goes up he's hitting the ball somewhere hard. He is a stud....plain and simple.

His .900 slugging percentage has as much relevance at this point of the season as PK & CL's slugging percentages at this point of the season. Jose will cool off eventually, and the other two guys will pick it up.
