Ex-Bull Jason Williams

Featured Replies

I just tuned in to the Northeastern v. Vermont baskeball game and was greeted by former Bull and Duke All-American Jason Williams.

Is he officially done with basektball after that devestating injury?

If he officially on with ESPN?

This is the first time I've heard about him joining up with Espn.

IIRC he announced a few other games this season with ESPN. I guess it's just some work to do before he can come back. :huh

He's been announcing a lot this year.

He is going to attempt a comeback, he just wants to make sure he is 100% before doing so. He's been working out and playing a lot of pickup in North Carolina trying to get back in shape. Some of the nerve damage he received from the accident hurt his quickness, so that is one of the things that is taking a while to recover.

With the settlement the Bulls gave him, one they didn't have to give, I figure the Bulls will get the first shot at him once he is ready to come back.

Dave Leto actually ripped on Williams for being too hard on DePaul a few weeks back, I think Williams announced the first UAB game when they lost in OT

He's actually a bit odd to listen to.

I don't know if he had any training in broadcasting, so I'll cut the guy some slack, but he has a lot of mannerisms unlike a broadcaster.

It's funny you say that, he's been on several Louisville games this year I've watched and I think he's been too easy on players. I think I even made the comment to someone I was watching the game with that he never criticizes anyone.

I don't think the Bulls will bring him back unfortunately. I see him possibly signing with Charlotte.

i think it depends really, Duhon only signed a 1 year deal with us. So if Duhon wants a lot more money than we are willing to give him i have no doubt Paxson will just bring back Jay Will.
