I thought it was the Royals, it being an odd-numbered year, but Peter Gammons recently said in his column that the D'Backs will be selecting Justin Upton with the first pick this year. so, in short, who picks first?

I am pretty sure they did away with the alternating league thing. I think it is the worst team that always will pick first now.

AZ picks first, I think they go with Gordon and then KC would take Upton but we'll see if they have to draft a cheaper player
