the 2 keiths who were drafted by the hawks are tearing it up in the playoff, Red Deer is the team.

i am excited about these guys and are playing on the same line.

The Red Deer Rebels are the best run organization in the Dub(WHL). The Sutters are likely all better suited for thye junior level, because those kids actually listen unlike the baby NHLers. I had a chance to see a Calgary Red Deer play off game but something else came up. I'll check for another Red Deer play off game and let ya know what I see. Red Deer is on ly 2 hours away.

How's Matt Ellison doing........he had like 90 pts in 70 gms or so right?

I think that's the kid that tore up the BCJHL a while back. I get some Rebels games so I'm familier, but let me know if I'm way off because I may have it mixed up. Anyhow that means he didn't blossom until he got a bit older. The BC is comparable to your USJHL I think. It is tier 2 hockey, usually players with a good chance to make the NHL would be looking to land on a junior team at that age and have a good WHL season under them for draft day. Notable exections being those who are looking to oursue the U.S. college route(playing Canadian junior disqualifies you), lately Mike Comrie, Dany Heatly and Paul Karyia come to mind. My buddy Dan blackburn was playing in the AJHL when he was 14. Canada hasn't got the type of High school programs found in a lot of the U.S. so this is an alternative. He was drafted out of the BC so he probably tried out fot WHL teams and didn' make it, or was on loan untill his big season. His numbers at Red Deer are impressive but not blazing for a 19 year old, he was 4th in league scoring, but given that he just emerged when he was 18 it's understandable. He should get an invite to the team Canada world Jr's team next year and still has another year in the dub. He's a good playmaker who plays hard and played both special teams for Red Deer, could be a steal as a fourth rounder but if he gets there he will be an exception to the rule.
