May 14, 200520 yr I hope someone follows up on this, but the following appeared in today's Tribune: "Actually, the Sox were both lucky and good as they beat the Orioles 5-3...in a game that included the Sox surviving an umpires' postgame inspection of the height of the pitcher's mound." There was no further mention of this, and it did not appear at all in the Sun-Times, Southtown or Daily Herald. Maybe Farmer or Rooney will mention it tonight.

Of course its must be a conspiracy, the Sox pitching can't possibly be that good... All this stuff really makes me
May 14, 200520 yr They talked about it last night on the post game show on WMVP, pretty much just said the umps were going to inspect it.
May 14, 200520 yr Yes, because the other pitchers didn't use the mound and we didn't win any games on the road with good pitching.
May 14, 200520 yr Maybe they can inspect if our starting rotation are made up of aliens . Opposing pitchers use our mound too!
May 14, 200520 yr Author QUOTE(bulokis @ May 14, 2005 -> 12:32 PM) Maybe they can inspect if our starting rotation are made up of aliens . Opposing pitchers use our mound too! Well, Contreras and El Duque.....
