Can anyone tell me more about Charles Haeger who is pitching for Winston-Salem, he is currently 6-0 and has a good K/BB ratio.

 

I have never heard of him, is he supposed to have a legitimate shot at making the big leagues?

 

If anyone could supply me with any information on him I'd appreciate it.

He was a mid round draft choice a few years ago out of a Michigan high school, I believe he'll turn 22 sometime this year.

 

He didn't experience much success right when he turned pro, and kind of fell off the map for awhile ... I believe the White Sox had him in instructional league and extended spring training ... teaching him the knuckleball.

 

Well, now he's a knuckleball pitcher and experiencing good success in A ball. Who knows how far he'll go but it's a nice story thus far.

Ya, he's got a knuckler and throws some other stuff. I've got a little write up about him in the 2001 draft review thats going to be up tonight or tomorrow. Its done I just have some minor edits to make.
