Kaitlyn Briana Smith was strangled and beaten, according to the Dallas County medical examiner. Her body was found Saturday under a vacant trailer in the same mobile home park where she lived with her family. Police today arrested Steven Lynn Long, who was a houseguest of the family that Kaitlyn visited Friday night. Police said Kaitlyn was killed inside the house before the body was hidden under a nearby abandoned trailer. Police said the crime appeared to be sexually motivated. Long's bond was set at $500,000. Police said he also faced misdemeanor charges in Dallas, Rockwall and Plano. For her family and the community. For those that live in Texas.. any word on the DP for this guy?
