Morneau hurt?

Featured Replies

Justin Morneau just left the game and gameday says it's an elbow injury. Anyone know anything else?

Oh, and Cleveland was winning 3-1, but the Scott Elarton remembered he sucked and now it's tied 3-3 going into the 6th.

Punto just left in the 8th with a leg injury.

Morneau I didnt catch quite what it was, but Punto, at least the radio guys said, looks like he pulled a hammy on a stolen base attempt. They were saying it didnt look good

Hey Jim, you got any updates for us?

He hurt himself before the game hitting off a tee. He has got some pain in his elbow. Gardy says he most likely is to get a cortozone shot and hell be day to day

punto is out with a pulling hammy

mauer is day to day (arent we all though) with a twinge in his groin

Vizcaino wasn't in Minnesota yesterday.

With Punto on the DL, the Twins called up Terry Tiffee. For what it seems like the 30th time this year

Thanks Jim :cheers

Its not all that bad having the enemy on here

Hopefully the sox will face Tiffee when they play the Twins, nothing like when Hawk goes into his, "Terry Tiffee Timmy Tuffee" thingy, IDK but it gets me laughin, anyone else know what I'm talkin about?

from the StarTribune

The Twins went into Friday's game with the Yankees unsure when first baseman Justin Morneau and catcher Joe Mauer would be available. They went home after the game feeling better about their availability.

Morneau swung off a tee before the Twins' 6-3 victory at the Metrodome and said his sore left elbow gave him some problems. But he will try again today and could start if he feels better.

Morneau did enter Friday's game as a defensive replacement at first for Terry Tiffee in the ninth inning. If he still has problems ...

"If he struggles we will shoot him up [with cortisone] and let him get ready for Tuesday," Twins manager Ron Gardenhire said.

Twins team doctors said Mauer should be able to avoid a stint on the disabled list. He was available to pinch hit on Friday.

Once problem Mauer is having is that his athletic cup is aggravating his pulled left groin muscle, especially when he swings. Padding will be added to the area to cut down on the discomfort.

my goodness. lol
