Yesterday's game was awesome. I happened to be driving for most of the game so listened to it on the radio. I was hoarse by the time it was over. I wanted to say though that Ozzie got really lucky. There's no way Garcia should have been out there after the double in the 8th. Our bullpen was fresh. I know he has his style of letting players work through stuff and he definitely did that with Freddy and it worked out. But he should have taken him out after that double. Ozzie needs to realize that at a certain point, his job is to get wins not get pitchers' wins- especially Freddy. I wanted to say this because it is after a huge game and it's not fair to just second guess when they lose.

That game was awesome. FG was SO bad early, even Homers Hawk and DJ were dogging him. Talking about how it takes FG getting hit around sometimes before he gets going and how Ozzie has had to go out and b**** FG out on the mound several times. Good stuff to hear from the Sox announcers.

 

I was watching the game and thinking, "Could AJ please go out to the mound and slap this guy and wake him up!" I mean, just terrible, lazy body language from FG. But to his credit, he woke up and pitched 8 solid innings. In retrospect, too bad he didin't get the win.

As Hawk said, though, he's lucky as hell he didn't give up more than 2 runs with a 4 walk inning.

Then you read that Freddie admits he was "lazy". Well Freddie then we know yu have to get charged up before you enter the game don't we? What's the problem then? The guy has so much talent, if he would just concentrate more on bringing it to the hitter early and often.
