Unit to have knee surgery

Featured Replies

Yeah, I just read that too when I was on ESPN.com. Really sucks for him and the D'Backs. I wish him luck in surgery and hope the guy is ok. He is a great pitcher.

Couldn't have been worse timing for AZ who was just starting to get hot after an awful start.

Yes, this is yet another example (as if any was needed) of why JR is such a smart little man in respect to refusing to sign great pitchers in their 30's to long-term deals- sure, they maybe be really good for 5-7 years, grab a Cy Young or 4, perhaps even play a huge part in winning the coveted, elusive WS....but at the end man, I tell you, those damn aging knees are gonna throw down a reality check, dreams shattered...for at least 3 more weeks.
