Brit Lit Question

Featured Replies

Okay gang, I need an assist.

There was a Brit lit set of poems written by a guy whose name I cannot remember -- it was a series of poems he had written about the death of friend and his coping with it. I can't for the life of me remember the name of the damn book and I want to suggest it to a friend of mine so any assists would be much appreciated.

Do you have an era or timeframe for when he wrote? Or a style?

I wanna say it is 1800s. I know it was a series of poems that he wrote about the death of his friend (there were hundreds of them) and eventually they got put into one book after his death (they were his personal way of coping and after his death they sold them, IIRC -- 4+ years since I took Brit Lit, haha)

Off the top of my head, maybe Thomas Lovel-Beddos?

Or maybe he's too Gothic. I'll try and dig out my Norton to thumb through. . .

He's one of the big names, I know that -- cuz he made a survey book in high school for Brit Lit.
