The Cleveland Cavaliers star has a key role in the show "Battlegrounds."

It started when James issued a challenge to Chicago Bulls' Ben Gordon and Andre Iguodala of the Philadelphia 76ers.

 

Each player created a team of amateurs_ one from New York and one from Chicago. The N-B-A players coached the teams, which met for the final competition in James' hometown of Akron.

 

The competition was taped yesterday and James was the master of ceremonies.

 

The show is set to air on M-T-V stations in late August.
