Burnett, who no one would have traded just McCarthy for after spring training, seems determined to be a free agent. Thats his right and perogative but I don't do any of the proposed deals if he doesn't sign for numbers in line with our other starting pitchers. It would destroy our salary structure to give him 10 million a year. What do you tell Garcia and Buehrle or Garland? I would be more inclined to trade Marte + a lesser prospect for Guardado.
