Does it look like we will get this one in tonight? How's the weather downtown?

Rained by me about 1 1/2-2 hours ago. Still wet and skies look threatening. Oh yeah..... I live about 30 minutes south of USCF in Tinley Park.

Doesn't look good for tonight. I just looked at the radar and while it is okay right now, it will get worse. There is a pocket of light to steady rain approaching the Comiskey area now and then a window of dryness following that. After that window, however, there is a large mass of thunderstorms.

The beginning of the mass of storms is about 60-70 miles away, moving from the southwest to the northeast in a patch headed directly for the city. It is possible that the storms could break up but as of now they are a pretty large mass with some potentially severe weather.

I am generally an optimist, but it doesn't look good for an hour and a half to two hours from now.

Jon Miller just said that the wind is blowing in from the lakefront and bringing rain with it.

Sorry Jon, but stick to baseball. The rain is coming from the southwest and last I looked, the lake wasn't southwest of USCF.

The heaviest rain is over the park now with the window coming soon. However there is a sign of thunderstorms developing that will close that window more quickly than previously thought. This potential thunderstorms are only about 20 miles from the park.

Thunderstorms are developing and look like they are very near the park. May stay slightly north, but it is significant rain.

There is still a window if we can get past this current shower.

Bigger storms are still 40 miles away.

Soxheads, nothing personal, but that radar image is very misleading. The radar is not good, but that image is much worse than it really is..

We are not at the window of no rain or light rain.......

Bigger stuff only 20-25 miles away. Sox should slow their asses down so they don't get through 5 just in case they can't finish this tonight.

so basically what you all are saying is our weather sucks....... well whats new about that...lol... wait a few minutes it will change at least 30 times......lmao.......sorry guys i couldnt resist... making light of the s***ty weather on top of a s***ty ball game nite ........somewhere there has to be a light at the end of the tunnel right .......... :D hey my house is exactly west of the "C" in chicago..right on the corner where the counties meet.........cool..............
