September 1, 200520 yr So I am reading this Frank DeFord book about how Christy Mathewson and John McGraw basically made baseball what is it. I am only 50 pages in so lets see how it goes but a couple of little facts. William McKinley was assissinated 09-14-01 WTC 09-11-01; odd The writer's of Casey at the Bat (Plate) whatever it is and Take Me Out to the Ballgame had never witnessed a baseball game before penning these items. At the end of each the player strikes out. The Ballgame song guy wrote it on a train soon after passing Ebbets field. Bedtime let's see what crap this book has in store. I give it another two nights before it is fodder for the fire pit.
