October 25, 200223 yr Notre Dame is going to have to put some points on the board. The Seminoles got a great running attack, as well as a decent passing attack and a solid defense. This is yet another huge game for the Irish, and their defense is going to have to play exceptional but the offense has to show up and put points on the board. They are on the verge of doing it, but they have just been so inefficient and not making mistakes and converting points once they get into the opponents territory.

If Notre Dame is even going to have a chance, they have to stop Greg Jones. If they don't, forget it. FSU will have no reason to air it out, and Walter and Duff will have very few plays to play off of Rix's mistakes and turn the game around. Notre Dame will not be able to run, but they may be able to pass. The FSU secondary is young and unspectacular. If Holiday and make the throws, and make up the rest with his scrambling, then and ONLY then will Notre Dame be in it. However I am fully expecting a pissed off FSU team to defend their home turf. They are fed up with being called mediocre.
