Who Would you rather have the Sox face

Featured Replies

It doesn't matter to me because we're going to win. All I want is the series to go seven games.

I'm equally confident in beating either, but a White Sox-Cardinals series has a more classic feel to it (if that makes any sense). So I'm going with the Cards.

Houston.

The Cardinals have Eckstein who is one of the best leadoff hitters in the game. He does not strike out very much and he just wears pitchers off. Albert Pujols is in that lineup and seeing him at the Cell is downright scary. The Cardinals are also good defensively. Molina has a cannon for an arm.

Houston’s offense can be handled. Only players who I’d keep an eye on are Taveras and Berkman. That Taveras had about 70 infield hits this season! He’s quick as hell.

The Oswalt-Clemens-Pettite trio does not scare me. Our offense has been beyond good. Our pitchers are pitching inside and are finding success. I have a lot more confidence in the Sox taking down the stros.

I'd rather play Houston.

Do you really want to face a team that just won 3 games after having one foot in the grave? Do you want to face that kind of momentum, and a team who was there last year? I sure don't.
