Houston Fans

Featured Replies

After the Bears game last night I stopped off in Hammond to watch sox game. There were a few guys from Houston that are working on I-90 were at the bar I was at. These dudes were very knowledgeable fans and very good sports. After Jenks gave up the single in the ninth to bring in the two runs they bought my buddy and my self beers telling us tough luck. I was happy to return the favor just minutes later. Houston has some good fans, too bad we gotta beat'em and win our first title since 1917.

I'll bet every team has a core of decent, good baseball fans, that enjoy the game and can be fun to watch the game with. It's the bozos like 1/2 of Wrigley on a weekend, or the idiots that run out on the field during Sox games that people notice.

I was at Saturday's game and was seated in the vicinity of several Astros' fans, two groups of them to be exact. They were very respectful fans. They cheered for their team but were far from obnoxious, definitely nothing like being at a Sox-Cubs game even though this game means infinitely more. I guess one could say that it would be hard for them to have big mouths considering they were surrounded by a horde of Sox fans, but I still give them credit. On a side note, I actually saw two CARDINAL fans at the game... I guess they were a little hasty with their decision.
